mine looking west. The adit level reputedly runs through to the north
mine but has yet to be accessed. This drawing was made by a miner from
the Glen Chass Mining Company dated 1856. Recently, a descent was made
over the cliffs to try and locate Knowles level but it was not found. It
is not certain as to whether the shafts were filled or capped.
