The truck would freely run back down the gradient to be coupled with the Iemco rocker shovel again. The spoils were then shifted into a pile using a digger awaiting removal in bulk. Approximately one hundred cubic meters was removed before rock head was encountered and the adit was completely cleared. A twenty meter long steel tunnel was erected from the original entrance and covered over with earth. |
