Although similar in appearance to that of a ladder, this wooden staircase connects two levels in north Bradda and has an incline of about forty five degrees. It is thought to be original making it over one hundred years old and has survived due to the dry nature of the mine. Most of the steps have gone but it is hoped that the mines group can re construct it in the future.
