Descending through a stope in the north mine. A small shaft or raise, lying just inside an entrance was dug out by the mines group some years ago. The shaft, which rises up into a small stope was fitted with climbing stemples putting a new front door on the mine which eliminated the tidal access problem. The blue green staining on the wall is the secondary mineralisation from the breakdown of copper. |
